The Practicum (your Graduation!)

Pratica-what? Its just a fancy phrase for Graduation…Phase 3 is where you get to show off your skills and all you have learned…its where  you show that you have internalized the curriculum and knowledge.

Phase 3 is more than just a final step — it’s your launchpad into the dog training industry. This practicum is where everything comes together: your knowledge, your hands-on experience, and your personal style as a trainer. You’ll show your work and build confidence in your ability to work independently.

You will complete additional dogs, this time without direct support, but with feedback at the end so that you can build confidence in your own abilities and your ability to internalize the work we have done together.

You will also complete our business portions of the course and complete a business plan as well as design curriculum, both which are designed to give you the best start in your future journey as a trainer.

Phase 3 is an advanced certification practicum available only to students who have successfully completed both Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the Pro Trainer Academy. If you’re viewing this page, consider it your preview of what’s to come — enrollment in The Practicum is by invitation and requires approval following completion of the earlier phases.

Practicum spots are limited and offered on a rolling basis throughout the year. Applications are reviewed individually to ensure each student is ready for this final step. Once approved, you’ll receive your practicum schedule and next steps directly from our team.

If you’re just starting your journey, begin with Phase 1 and work your way forward. Each phase is designed to build your skills with purpose and progression — preparing you to graduate not just with knowledge, but with real-world readiness and a supportive professional network behind you.
