Gold Country is The Fun Place To Stay

With care customized by you to suit your dog’s needs, our dog boarding facility is perfect for your furry family member.

Our Care

We have designed a unique facility to reduce the stress that both you and your pet experience during your separation.  Our boarding facility has your dogs enjoying the comfort of their own “hotel suite” complete with large indoor areas with their own attached yard.  In addition we have large play yards which each guest gets to run in each day.

You can personalize your dog’s stay with whatever suits your dogs needs. We offer everything from relaxing walks and cuddle times, to high energy games of fetch, swimming or agility. You decide what is right for your dog, or maybe your dog just wants a little down time while they are here. You know your dog best!

Our Location

We are conveniently located on the corner of Highway 88 and Highway 104 approximately two miles from Ione and 8 miles from Jackson.  If you are traveling from Sacramento or Stockton to any one of our many beautiful attractions in Amador County such as Kirkwood, Black Chasm National Natural Landmark, Harrah’s Casino, Jackson Rancheria Casino and Hotel, or any of our many wineries, you will find we are right on your route.

We proudly serve many tourists to our area so that their pets can stay closer to them. In addition to first class boarding facilities on a beautiful 135 acre ranch, we are blessed to have the only Dock Dog Diving Pool in our region. This means that your dog can schedule swim time whether they are here overnight or you are bringing them for one of our dock diving events. We are the place where “Happy Dogs Stay and Play”!

We Have Boarding Memberships

For our frequent flyers, we offer Boarding Memberships to show our appreciation for your – and your dog’s – loyalty.  Select the set price per month that fits your budget and take advantage of the perks that come with membership.

Join Us for a
Virtual Tour

We offer Live Virtual tours every weekly via “gotomeeting”  (aka a Zoom type service). The video tour above shows our facility but we know you value being able to ensure that it is always in tip top shape.  We do not do in person tours of our facility as we want to ensure our guests that are boarding here are not exposed to unnecessary stress. Every time a new person enters the area the dogs go on “alert”.  We have always tried to provide a quiet facility (thus the limited pickup drop off hours), but one of the good things of 2020, is we learned we can do all things via virtual technology.  Now, you can see real time the facility and speak with a staff person while they are giving you a tour.  The tour is a “group” virtual tour, so we may want to interact with you privately via phone if you have concerns you don’t want to share with the group and that is fine, but we are happy to answer all questions. We feel this allows the balance of access to our facility without creating additional stress for our guests.

If you are not available on the tour date, we can allow you to view the most recent tour (all tours are recorded) upon request, we will post the link to the most recent tour.

Testimonials & Reviews

"Each dog is special to them"

Trust them at all times. Over the past 7 years, we have had several times where something happened and we needed to leave our dog for an extra day. Never a problem, always welcoming. They are specific in their care for each dog, and each dog is special to them.
~ Robin L.

"Love them!"

Sending our dog there for training program! Our scared boy loves them and is so much more confident already!
~ Elisa M.

"An amazing place"

Great people and a very safe and welcoming environment. Being new I was a little nervous but the capable staff made me feel like I learned a lot in just one lesson of dock diving. We have also tried the barn hunt and it was a great way to learn.
~ Samantha K.

"My dog is always excited to go there"

We attend agility classes which are located right off the highway to the left though sign says to stay right. Access to the right can be challenging, dirt road. Excellent kennel facilities and training grounds. My dog is always excited to go there.
~Roberta H.

"A judge who is very attentive"

Pretty nice location, single lane dirt road to get to dock area. Good pool setup for dock diving, and a judge who is very attentive. Remember that there are strange ppl and dogs at these events and you should keep your distance from them to stay safe. Bring your own shade. On the hottest days of they year they take shorter breaks to get done early. Nice to have 3 dives done by noon.
~Ryan B.

"Thanks!"

Thank you Angela, Laurie, Cherie and Mike!
Your hard work does not go unnoticed!
