While we lay everything out in the coursework\, we know that the application of the material can only be understood as people gain experience. The purpose of continuing our online discussions is to explore on a deeper level the material that is in the coursework and have a chance to ask questions\, submit video’s and have an interactive community conversation as people begin seeing the concepts come to life. As one of my favorite trainers says “The Eyes Cannot See What the Brain Cannot Understand”. This is so profoundly true. It is in these discussions\, where I can expose your brain to concepts so that when you go back to working with your dogs\, you can more fully see the things we teach in class. \nRSVP online. Whether you’re a seasoned dock diving pro or just curious about the sport\, our dock diving events are the perfect way to spend a fun\, relaxed weekend with your pup. Nestled in the scenic hills of Ione\, CA\, our facility offers a beautiful and peaceful setting for both newcomers and veteran jumpers to enjoy. \n🎉 June Jump!\nJoin us for our June Jump\, sanctioned by North America Diving Dogs (NADD). Titles earned at our events are recognized by the American Kennel Club (AKC)—great news for those chasing championship points or just enjoying the journey.  We will also have classes for both Air Retrieve and Hydrodash available on Thursday prior to the specialty. If your dog is jumping confidently off the dock and you want to try Hydrodash or Air Retrieve\, sign up for a class on Thursday before the event and then try your paw at it on Thursday evening after the classes are completed. \n📅 Ready to sign up?\nYou can register for this event directly on the NADD website. Your dog will need a NADD Membership Number\, which is a one-time fee\, and after that you’re good to go for all NADD events nationwide! \n\n🐾 New to Dock Diving?\nNo problem! We love helping dogs take their first leap. If your pup hasn’t tried it yet\, sign up for one of our dock diving classes here. We’ll help you build confidence and have a blast doing it! \n\n📋 Important Notes on Registration\nDock diving is one of the few dog sports that doesn’t require upfront payment\, but that also means it relies on everyone being mindful of their commitments. Here’s the scoop: \n\nNo Show Policy: You can adjust your entry anytime before entries close (usually two weeks before the event). After that\, you’re expected to attend and pay. One no-show won’t break anything—but three strikes\, and you lose pre-registration privileges.\nStuff happens! Illnesses and emergencies are understandable—just communicate with a vet or doctor note and you’ll be good to go.\n\n\n💦 Our Jump Card System\nTo make things easier\, we offer Jump Cards\, a unique perk at our facility (thanks to NADD approval). Here’s how it works: \n\nYou’ll sign up and pay in advance via SignUpGenius.\nThese links will be sent out the week of the event…a few days prior.\nYou’ll know your approximate jump times before you arrive.\nNo waiting around all day—you can jump\, hang out\, and even make it to Ione Sweets for a well-earned ice cream before the heat kicks in!\n\nWe love when folks stay all day to cheer each other on\, but we also know that California summers aren’t always kind. This system gives you the flexibility to make the day work best for you and your dog. \n\n🏞️ About Our Facility\nOur dock and pool are tucked into the middle of 135 quiet\, beautiful acres—a true hidden gem! Once you make it down our half-mile gravel/dirt road\, you’ll want to settle in and enjoy the day. DESCRIPTION:IGP (formerly Schutzhund/ IPO)\nThis class is for those wanting to do the sport. We do obedience followed by protection work. We focus on putting the foundation in place methodically and with excellent technique.  It is not required that you take our focused obedience program\, but it is certainly helpful if you have an obedience membership for the shared language. That will give you an understanding of our methodology and why we do things the way we do them. Our new  competition field is in\, and we expect to host trials 2-3 times per year.  \nThis class is offered through Gold Country Working Dog Club and you will pay AT THE FIELD (not ahead of time). Please do sign up though\, so that we know you are coming. Also\, if an emergency happens\, we can notify you!
