While we lay everything out in the coursework\, we know that the application of the material can only be understood as people gain experience. The purpose of continuing our online discussions is to explore on a deeper level the material that is in the coursework and have a chance to ask questions\, submit video’s and have an interactive community conversation as people begin seeing the concepts come to life. As one of my favorite trainers says “The Eyes Cannot See What the Brain Cannot Understand”. This is so profoundly true. It is in these discussions\, where I can expose your brain to concepts so that when you go back to working with your dogs\, you can more fully see the things we teach in class. \nRSVP online. DESCRIPTION:IGP (formerly Schutzhund/ IPO)\nThis class is for those wanting to do the sport. We do obedience followed by protection work. We focus on putting the foundation in place methodically and with excellent technique.  It is not required that you take our focused obedience program\, but it is certainly helpful if you have an obedience membership for the shared language. That will give you an understanding of our methodology and why we do things the way we do them. Our new  competition field is in\, and we expect to host trials 2-3 times per year.  \nThis class is offered through Gold Country Working Dog Club and you will pay AT THE FIELD (not ahead of time). Please do sign up though\, so that we know you are coming. Also\, if an emergency happens\, we can notify you! SUMMARY:Barnhunt Run Through's
DESCRIPTION:This is a great class once you have a solid alert! This will help you practice any specific issues that may arise in the ring and get a chance to run your dogs blind in as close as we can get to a trial environment. We are currently scheduling the class for two hours…show up for all or part of it. Dogs will be rotated in a first come first serve style order (subject to grouping like runs together). We will create blinds and have multiple opportunities to run your dog. If interest is strong enough\, we can extend the timeframe or add additional classes. This is a GREAT way to practice reading your dog. You may work onleash or offleash as you desire.  You can ask for as much information as you would like to meet training goals\, but we definitely encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity to work the problems blind. We will need everybody to participate in creating a trial type environment for the dogs! \nYou can run at any level you decide\, but you must have a solid alert and reward system already in place. If your alert is not solid yet\, consider our 101 Intro class. \nFirst Dog: $20 (2d dog $10; additional dogs $5).\nSchedule Appointment
