SUMMARY:Tracking 101
DESCRIPTION:This session is focused on tracking foundations for IPO. However\, the foundations used for IPO are suitable for introductory SAR work or AKC tracking and each student will work on their own individualized goals. We will be focusing on field work where each dog is.  Tracking will typically be on the property of Gold Country K9 Services. Depending on the attendees and the conditions at GCK9\, we may opt to adjust time slightly and adjust location of class. This is more likely to happen in April\, when we may need to move to a park\, if the grass starts turning to foxtails early. \nSign up here \nBring: Be sure to bring your dogs favorite snacks. I suggest this be something higher value that what you might use for your regular everyday treats. It is best to bring 2-3 things. Examples include; Chicken\, string cheese\, meatballs (broken up)\, Dog Food Rolls (like Lucy’s)\, hot dogs\, etc… you know you’re dog best. Make sure you bring his appetite! \n

SUMMARY:Barnhunt 101
DESCRIPTION:Barn Hunting is a cool new sport sweeping the nation and it’s not just for terriers. Taken as an offshoot from the original AKC “Earth Dog” Competition\, Barn Hunt was started to broaden the sport for all competitors and just small terrier breeds. \nThis is the first step in Barn Hunt and a great place to start if you and your dog are interested in the sport. This class is designed to introduce dogs to the sport and build the foundation for the Alert.  Students will stay in this class until they are satisfied that their dog can accurately tell them when they have found the rat!  After that\, it will be time to move to Barnhunt 201; Search Strategy. \nSign up for Barnhunt 101 here \nPlease be aware that once the class is full\, the date longer show on the signup link above.  You may pick a different date\, or keep checking back\, as sometimes\, people adjust their dates and a spot will open up the week prior to class. \nPlease bring your dog\, a long line (if you have it-no worries if you don’t)…and their favorite treats (some dogs don’t need them\, but many do). \nThis class is eligible for the Gold Country Working Dog Member Discount.

SUMMARY:Obedience Coaching Programs Drop In Class
DESCRIPTION:This class is for our students of our Coaching Programs as well as graduates of our Board and Trains programs to come work on their obedience with Distractions. Because all dogs have already had training before coming to class\, this class allows us to set everyone up for success. Students are reminded to be mindful of other dogs and not allow dog to dog contact without owner consent. \nWe are sorry this class is not open to people who have not gone through our Fabulous Fido or Dream Dog Program. \nSign up (if approved for this) here
