SUMMARY:4th of July Escape the Noise Fundraiser!
DESCRIPTION:Come Join Us to Celebrate Fourth of July\, but without all the noise of the Fireworks! Even better\, once they start in the Valley\, we will have a view of all the shows\, but without the noise! We will open the facility at approximately 3:00p.m. to people to use the pool\, barnhunt ring and obedience field for all things dogs!  \nIf you are an experienced dock diver\, come rock the dock! If you are just starting out\, and instructor will be available to help you get started! People can enjoy the BBQ at approximately 6:00. We will be working on Movie Trix\, Rally\, Barnhunt\, Noseworks or just enjoying the peace and quiet. People can car camp at the field to avoid the noise of the night.  \nThis is a fundraiser for Infinite PawsAbilities and 100% of all entry fees go to the Spay Neuter Fund (Did you know we currently have 25 puppies we have taken in that need Spay/Neuter?) Yikes! Now that we got these pregnant momma’s and their pups off the streets\, we have to tackle the spay and neuter. The Freeway Litter may be making an appearance for a bit of socialization! SUMMARY:Escape from the FireWorks!
DESCRIPTION:Infinite PawsAbilities Fundraiser\nIs your dog terrified of the Fireworks? Or maybe it’s you\, that’s exhausted by them! Come hang out in the best place to be during Fourth of July! Gold Country Pet Resort is hosting a Fundraiser for our favorite rescue “Infinite PawsAbilities”. We will be opening the facility to anyone who would like to join us. Want to go Dock Diving? Want to see if your dog can learn to swim (instructor will be on hand for a portion of the event for the newbies). How About Barn hunt? Nose work? Movie Trix? You bet\, we will be doing it all! Even CGC evaluations! We will get started around 3:00p.m. (probably at the pool until 6 or later). When the weather cools down\, we can break out the other activities. We will also be having a Barbecue!  Once it cools off\, we can break out the scent sports\, Movie Trix and CGC Testing. When dusk settles and the Fireworks start\, rest assured\, we can’t hear them! But if you want a magnificent view of all the Valley Fireworks\, we have it! Line up along the fence line and view the Fireworks without the Sound! We are the absolute best place to be on 4th of July! Especially for those that are noise sensitive.  Feel free to camp out under the starts at the training field if you need the refuge from the Valley Noise below!

SUMMARY:Dock Diving 101
DESCRIPTION:Come get involved in the coolest sport around. Whether your dog is an expert swimmer or still needs to learn\, this class is where you get started. We will focus on acclimating dogs to pools for those dogs that haven’t seen a pool. Once they are comfortable swimming in the pool\, they learn to use the ramp\, and then we start on Jumping. Dogs who are already experienced pool swimmers may move more quickly and that’s great! We move at the learning rate of each dog. Class Max size is 5. Dogs are worked individually. No contact between dogs. \nSign up for Dock Diving 101 Schedule Appointment\n \nPlease be aware that once the class is full\, the date longer show on the signup link above.  You may pick a different date\, or keep checking back\, as sometimes\, people adjust their dates and a spot will open up the week prior to class. \nWhat to Bring: Bring a flat or martingale collar and 6-10′ leash for the dock (you can use any equipment  you need to get to the dock\, but once on the dock\, this is the required equipment); your dogs favorite motivators (floating toys and/or food). If you have a lifejacket\, please bring it (do not go buy one if you don’t have it\, you can borrow one).

SUMMARY:CWC 401: Obedience: Out and Abouts
DESCRIPTION:These are field trips to various community places/events to practice our obedience skills in real life situations. These are typically Friday (first or second Friday of the month depending on Facility events) but may occasionally move to another day to accommodate going to a specific event. We will typically move between Lodi\, Galt\, Rancho Cordova\, Folsom\, Amador. We will often go to a store such as Home Depot\, Lowes\, Tractor Supply.  All outings will be at dog friendly locations so that both service dog prospects and pet prospects may attend. \nWe also have regular trips to a patio Restaurant/coffee shop. It is so important to work on life skills\, so like our store outings\, these are designed to get us out of the facility and into the community so that our dogs can learn to settle during social interactions around other dogs. Make no mistake\, while we are having a “social outing” we are training\, so its very important for owners to learn how to maintain training even when not on the “training field”. The location of the outings will be posted in the online community within 7 days of the scheduled outing. \nThese community outings.  Sign up in our Gold Country K9 Academy online Community under ” Meetups” once you are approved to go! You must have completed your CWC 301 Certificate.
